Asking costs you nothing
01Before we start
What we do and what we do not do
We would rather say it up front, so you know exactly who you are talking to.
What we do
- We listen to your family situation, without rushing you.
- We explain what services exist and which ones might apply to your case.
- We connect you with the center or provider that fits.
- We follow up to confirm that they contacted you.
What we are not
- We are not a medical center or a hospital.
- We do not give diagnoses or prescribe treatments.
- We are not a government agency or an insurance company.
- We do not decide your coverage: the program or the provider does.

Five services nobody may have explained to you

03How to tell
Five signs your dad already needs help, even if he says he is fine
These are changes that become normal little by little. None of these points is a diagnosis and none replaces your doctor opinion. They are everyday observations worth looking at in time.
- 01
He stopped cooking
You open the refrigerator and find expired food, or you notice he barely prepares meals anymore.
- 02
Neglect in things he used to care about
He wears the same clothes for days, or the order of the house changed with no explanation.
- 03
He stopped going out
He stopped driving, or drives with fear, and because of that he goes out far less than before.
- 04
He forgets his medicine
He misses doses, or repeats them because he does not remember whether he already took them.
- 05
He had a fall
Even if he told you it was nothing and that he did not get hurt.
If you recognized two or more, you are not overreacting. Write to us and we will talk.
04What happens next
Exactly what happens if you write to us
No fine print and no commitment. This is everything that happens from the moment you send the first message.
- 01
A real person answers
Not a robot and not a menu of options. You write first, on WhatsApp or through the form, and someone from the team replies within business hours.
- 02
We listen
We ask about your family situation: where she lives, what coverage she has, what she needs help with. That conversation costs you nothing.
- 03
We tell you what applies and what does not
We explain what options exist for your case, and also which ones do not apply, so we do not waste your time. If we cannot help you, we say so right away.
- 04
We follow up
With your permission we send your case to the right center or provider, and we call you afterward to confirm they contacted you and that she was taken care of.
05If you are the one caring
Asking for help is not giving up on her
You are the one who asks for time off work to take her to the doctor. The one who keeps track of the medicine. The one who answers the phone at eleven at night.
Caring is tiring too, and looking for help does not mean loving your mom any less. It means being able to care for her longer, and better.
06Where we work
Los Angeles and San Bernardino
We work with providers and centers in these two counties, home to two of the largest Hispanic communities in the country.
- Los Angeles County
- San Bernardino County
If your mom lives outside these counties, write to us anyway. If we cannot help you, we will tell you right away and, when possible, point you to where else to ask.
